What Is The Social Responsibility of HebronSoft?
At HebronSoft, we belive that business can and should be socially responsible. Leading by example we make a difference in the world by helping unprivileged youth start a new life. Being sensitive to the issues the orphanage graduates and other underprivileged youth in Ukraine face, our mission is to provide youth with IT education to help them eliminate the opportunity gap and grow into qualified professionals with strong morals. Together, we bring transformation for the future generation of industry leaders.

We are more than just a software outsourcing company that helps medium- and large-sized businesses unlock a new level of operational efficiency and maximize their business value. With social responsibility encoded in our DNA, we are transforming businesses with impactful technologies and changing the world for the better. That's why along with HebronSoft, we have the Hebron IT Academy for our social initiatives. This is a non-profit educational charity organization, a true stronghold for vulnerable youth in Ukraine. We strive to offset the academic imbalance and deliver complimentary IT education and career opportunities for students with disadvantaged backgrounds. This way, we build a generation with high morals ready to make a difference.

Chapter 1

It all starts with an idea
Back in early 2015, Ihor Bula and Liliya Valihun, future senior managers of HebronSoft, crossed an ocean from the USA to Ukraine carrying a vision of something exciting and pivotal. Inspired by US social and Christian leaders and a social responsibility mindset, they were thinking of starting a non-profit initiative targeting youth with disadvantaged backgrounds.

The idea sees its manifestation
"That's our contribution to building a progressively-thinking nation in the future," Ihor and Liliya said when they were starting Hebron IT Academy. The non-profit charity organization aimed to enable underprivileged youth in Ukraine to attend IT Academy. It has become a hub for educational, spiritual, and professional growth for those students who didn't have the resources to get a coveted software engineering qualification.

Building a HebronSoft company
With the belief that education is the vehicle to help vulnerable youth change their life, The Hebron IT Academy saw an increase in the number of newcomers. That required more generous financial aid. Alas, all the expenses were not always covered by charitable contributions. To be able to keep up with the demand and become independent from donations, HebronSoft, a software development company, was established in 2018. From day one till now, we believe in what we are doing. Our team of professionals shares corporate values and has the skills to provide the best solutions for our clients all over the globe.

Here is where we play big
In 2021, all social initiatives, corporate self-development resources, and software development services were consolidated under one overall company umbrella. And that required a new vision of how to run an organization. That's when Kostiantyn Polosukhin, a seasoned IT expert, joined the Hebron family as its new CEO. The company is now set to focus on three core dimensions, which delivered more consistency towards clients, employees, and students.

Where we are now
Hebron is a growing organization. We do what we love, make an impact, and are building plans for opening new vibrant horizons. As of now, we have changed the lives of more than 105 young people. 56 of them are employed now. At the same time, we preserve in helping businesses all over the world leverage technology for greater operational efficiency. Our company also maintains the hub for IT specialists seeking professional growth.

Raised in a family where her stepfather abused alcohol and was aggressive, Yuliya was determined to live a quality life. After the 9th grade, she entered the Hebron IT Academy. Now, she is a Frontend Engineer at HebronSoft.

Born in a low-income family where the mother suffered from alcohol addiction, Heorhii was taken away from his mother to a boarding school and then adopted. His step-parents advised him to enter the Hebron IT Academy because he had a talent for STEM disciplines. By the end of the educational program, Heorhii joined the HebronSoft team as a Quality Assurance Engineer.

Yuliy and his twin brother spent their childhood in an orphanage and specialized school. Their mother died during childbirth, and their father abandoned them. Once he joined the Hebron IT Academy, he found like-minded people and changed his life. Now, he is in charge of ensuring the product is in line with requirements and works effectively for the client.

Ihor grew up in an orphanage. Once he visited an IT Camp for orphans and underprivileged youth hosted by Hebron IТ Academy, he got an invitation to study there. At the Academy, Igor showed great potential and was offered the position of Frontend Engineer at HebronSoft.

When Bohdan was two years old, his parents discovered that he had serious heart disease with low chances of survival. Yet, he recovered and pursued an engineering career. He then joined the Hebron IT Academy to get a software development background. These days, Bohdan makes a valuable contribution to mobile and web development projects at HebronSoft.

Mykhailo lived in a low-income family along with two other children. He entered the Hebron IT Academy with a strong determination to become a qualified software engineering expert. That way he believed that he would change his life for the better. As of today, Mykhailo implements acquired knowledge in projects at HebronSoft and keeps growing professionally.

“I am not totally happy with my degree as an electrician. I do not see myself in this field. I think I will be able to get my future profession with Hebron. It seems to me that IT is totally my cup of tea.”
Artem's mother died when he was 9 and his dad was denied parental rights. Artem had to go through the orphanage. After secondary school, he entered a local training center to get a degree as an electrician. Yet, he was lucky to appear at the IT Camp arranged by Hebron. Now, Artem is one of the Academy's students with a passion for coding and a desire to become a skillful developer.
